Inside TOUCHE: A Day with a Workplace Massage Therapist in Greater London

It’s 8 AM, and I’m not squeezing myself onto the Tube. Nope. I’m cruising through London in my car, and I’m not alone. My team of five TOUCHE professionals is with me—each of us equipped with a portable massage chair and a mission to make office workers' days just a little less stressful. We’re not here for the glamour of the city; we’re here to deliver.

Today, we’re not just doing massages; we’re changing the game of workplace wellness, one 20-minute session at a time.

8:30 AM - Gearing Up for the First Round

We arrive at our first office, and it’s go time. We unload the massage chairs and set up in a spacious area. The rhythm of the day is already in motion—while one of us gets started on a client, the rest of us prep the next person. It’s all hands on deck, making sure everyone gets their turn to unwind, no matter how packed the schedule is.

The first group of five office workers is ready. Each massage takes just 20 minutes—short and sweet, but effective. I get to work on the first person: shoulders, neck, and lower back—areas that carry the brunt of stress. With the clock ticking down, I’m focused and efficient, working my magic. And by the end of it, the first person is already grinning. That’s the beauty of workplace massages: quick relief, big impact.

Before I can say “next,” we’re moving on to the next client, and the clock is ticking again. With five of us working simultaneously, we’re able to massage five people at once. It’s fast-paced, but it’s also so rewarding to see the difference in people after just 20 minutes.

By the time we wrap up the first group, the second group is already waiting, stretching out in anticipation. Rinse and repeat.

9:30 AM - A New Group, Same Mission

By now, we’re in a groove, and the second office group is feeling the magic too. We move seamlessly through the sessions—one massage ends, and the next one begins. No interruptions. No delays. Just continuous, effective relaxation.

And let me tell you, these employees need it. The rise of workplace wellness programs in the UK is proof that companies are realizing how essential it is to support their staff's mental and physical well-being. And it’s not just about getting the job done anymore. Happy, healthy employees are more productive. It’s that simple.

The good vibes start to spread around the room. People joke about how they wish they could have massages like this every day. Well, we’re on a mission to make that a reality. One chair massage at a time.

11:30 AM - Packing Up, Moving On

After finishing the second office, we’re off again. We pack up our chairs, load them into the cars, and head off to the next location. Same routine. Same goal: deliver effective, targeted massages that help relieve stress and prevent burnout.

This time, it’s a start-up office, and the energy is different. The people are younger, maybe a bit more stressed, and working long hours at their desks. It doesn’t take long for us to spot the tension in their posture and the slight hunching of shoulders. So we get to work, offering a mix of shoulder, neck, and back massages—focused and fast. Each session is quick, but the benefits are immediate.

By the time we’re done with the first group, I’ve already noticed the atmosphere shift. The workers are chatting and laughing, and there’s an obvious sense of relief in the air. That’s the power of massage: it doesn’t just relax your body, it lightens your mood, too.

2:00 PM - A Lunch and Back to Work

After the third office, it’s time for a well-deserved break. We grab some lunch, maybe a quick sandwich or a smoothie, but before long, it’s back to the grind. Another office, another group of five people, and the process begins again.

With five of us, we move quickly and efficiently. While one of us finishes, the others are already preparing the next person. We’ve gotten so good at this that we barely need to look at the clock. We’re just in a flow, giving people the gift of 20 minutes of peace.

4:30 PM - Wrapping Up the Day

By the end of the day, we’ve massaged 15 people. That’s 15 less people walking around with sore backs and stiff necks. 15 more people feeling rejuvenated and ready to take on their next task.

As we pack up for the day, I take a moment to reflect. We’ve made a difference in the lives of the people we’ve touched today—literally and figuratively. I know the impact we’re having because I see it in their faces. I see it in the way they stand up after their session—relaxed, refreshed, ready to take on the world.

At TOUCHE, we’re not just giving massages. We’re part of a movement that’s changing the way businesses think about their employees' well-being. Our team of five is dedicated to helping London’s office workers feel better, work better, and live better. We’re growing, and we’re here to show that wellness isn’t just a luxury—it’s a necessity.

By offering these 20-minute sessions, we’re preventing burnout, reducing stress, and bringing a little peace to the hustle and bustle of London’s office life. And we’re not stopping.

If you want to join the movement, we’re ready and waiting.
